At 6:30 am, you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Arusha or directly from the airport and set off for an exciting day at Tarangire National Park. Known as Tanzania’s third-largest park, Tarangire captivates visitors with its iconic baobab trees that provide a picturesque backdrop to the incredible wildlife.

The Tarangire River, a vital water source, attracts some of Africa’s largest elephant herds, along with a diverse range of animals. During your game drive, you’ll have the chance to spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and unique species like the lesser kudu and eland. Start your day at 6:00 am with a hearty breakfast in the bush before embarking on a three-hour drive to Serengeti National Park with your guide. Upon arrival, dive straight into an unforgettable game drive across this world-famous park.

Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, spans nearly 15,000 square kilometers and teems with wildlife. It is home to over 2 million grazing animals, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and around 500 bird species. As you journey through the endless plains, you’ll encounter scattered trees and rocky outcrops (kopjes) where lions often rest and survey their territory. You may even catch a glimpse of a leopard hidden in the lush riverine forests.

You’ll pause for lunch at 1:00 pm before resuming your exploration of this extraordinary landscape. After a day filled with wildlife sightings and awe-inspiring views, you’ll return to your camp or lodge for a well-earned rest.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

Early in the morning, after having breakfast at 6:00 am, you’ll drive for about an hour to the Ngorongoro Crater with our driver. When you reach the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you’ll take a break for lunch before descending the steep path into the 600-meter-deep crater.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site, created from a collapsed volcano, is home to over 25,000 animals, including spotted hyenas and the “Big Five” – elephants, rhinos, buffalo, leopards, and lions. After lunch at 1:00 pm, you’ll make a game drive till 03:00 Pm and later you'll begin the drive out of the crater and head back to Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight stay.
