The lodge is located in a private nature reserve adjoining the Unesco World Heritage site “Namib Sand Sea”.

Proceed on a nature drive to search for desert adapted elephants and other wildlife in the dry riverbed and surrounding areas. To observe this unfortunately only small number of adapted elephants in their habitat is a special experience. The guides can usually determine the location of the elephants from the tracks in the sand bed of the river.
