Safari to Akagera National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your safari guide at 6:20 AM who will transfer you to Akagera National Park in the eastern part of Rwanda for a full day game drive in the park. The drive is approximately 2 hours and half. On arrival, you will proceed for a full day game drive in the park. Lunch at Mihindi Cafe in the national park and transfer to Kigali. Dinner and overnight at your Hotel.

Gorilla Trekking Experience

Morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for briefing for your gorilla trekking experience. After briefing, proceed to the starting point of your gorilla trek. Gorilla trek lasts between 2 to 8 hours or even a day to encounter the gorillas hence you should prepare with making physical exercises. There is a possibility of using a stretcher if you can not trek for a long time or can trek at all. However, you'll be allowed to stay in the presence of these awesome apes for at least one hour. It is advised to carry snacks or packed lunch as one cannot determine how long it may take to encounter the mountain gorillas. Later, you'll transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. The drive is through a beautiful part of the country often referred to as ‘the Switzerland of Africa’ because of its unique cool weather despite being near the Equator. This lake is said to be one of the most beautiful places in western Uganda.

Boat ride at Lake Bunyonyi and Transfer back to Kigali

Breakfast and go for a boat ride on this lake to tour different islands. Afterwards, transfer back to Kigali crossing through Katuna border to cross to Rwanda. Upon reaching, you will have lunch and proceed with souvenirs shopping in town. Thereafter, you'll be transferred to Kigali International Airport to catch your departure back home or drop off at your Hotel - End of Services.
