As you continue your drive, the landscape shifts to the open savannah, signaling your arrival at Lake Mburo.
Check into your lodge and unwind before heading out for an afternoon game drive. The park’s rich wildlife offers you the chance to see zebra, impala, buffalo, and the elusive giraffes. As the sun sets over the park’s lush grasslands, enjoy the thrill of being surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness. After breakfast at your Lake Mburo lodge, you’ll begin the 5-7 hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The route offers stunning views of Uganda’s countryside, passing through rolling hills, traditional villages, and the scenic Kigezi Highlands.
You’ll arrive in Bwindi in the afternoon and check in to your lodge. After a long journey, relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the forested mountains. Depending on time, you can take a short nature walk or visit a nearby community project. Dinner will be served at your lodge, where you can unwind and prepare for tomorrow’s gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 3
Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast, head to your trekking sector for the unforgettable gorilla experience. A briefing will precede the trek, and then you'll hike into the dense forest to find the mountain gorillas. The trek can take between 2-8 hours, and once you encounter the gorillas, you’ll have an hour to observe them up close in their natural habitat.
After the trek, enjoy lunch at your lodge before embarking on a scenic 3-4 hour drive to Lake Bunyonyi. Known for its clear waters and lush surroundings, Lake Bunyonyi is the perfect place to unwind. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the lake, taking in the stunning views of the islands and hills. Return to your lodge for a peaceful dinner and evening relaxation.

Take in the tranquil atmosphere before checking out and beginning your journey back to Kampala. Depart for Kampala with a scenic 7-8 hour drive through Uganda's beautiful landscapes. Along the way, you may stop for lunch or a brief visit to the Uganda Equator line, where you can take photos and buy souvenirs. Upon arrival in Kampala, you'll be dropped off at your hotel or directly at the airport for your onward flight, bringing your incredible Ugandan adventure to a close.
