Your professional tour guide/driver will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha or the airport upon your arrival. After meeting your expert safari guide, you'll receive a brief safari orientation. Then, you'll head to Lake Manyara National Park, arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. Following lunch, you'll venture into the park. Lake Manyara is one of Tanzania’s most spectacularly located wildlife reserves, featuring a vast yet shallow soda lake that covers two-thirds of the park, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park's diverse habitats attract a wide range of animals, including one of Africa’s largest elephant populations, the famous tree-climbing lions, and large flocks of flamingos drawn to the lake’s algae.

Ngorongoro Crater (Caldera)
After breakfast, we’ll continue our safari and descend 600 meters into the stunning Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most wildlife-dense areas in Africa, home to approximately 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos. Thanks to a year-round water supply and abundant vegetation, the crater supports a wide variety of species, such as wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and large African elephants. A major highlight of this park is its high concentration of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which can be tricky to spot without a keen eye. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before concluding our game drive and returning to your accommodation for dinner.

Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, we'll head into Tarangire National Park for a morning game drive. The park stretches along the Tarangire River and is primarily composed of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. The natural vegetation includes Acacia woodlands, towering African Baobab trees, and expansive swamps in the southern region. Both the river and the swamps serve as a magnet for wildlife, especially during Tanzania’s dry season. Tarangire is known for housing some of Africa’s largest elephant herds. The park is also home to three rare species: the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and the Ashy Starling. The safari vehicle has an open roof, offering the perfect opportunity for panoramic views and excellent photography angles. After an extensive game drive, we’ll enjoy lunch before departing the park. We will then drive you to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar or your onward destination.
Optional: Balloon safari available at an additional cost.
