Day 3

Drive from Amboseli to Lake Naivasha

Drive from Amboseli to Lake Naivasha

Have an early morning assisted check-out, followed by a scenic drive to Lake Naivasha with a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for beautiful panoramic views. On arrival, check in at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a peaceful boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you can spot hippos, various water birds, and stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The boat ride will take you to Crescent Island, a private sanctuary home to giraffes, zebras, impalas, waterbucks, and a variety of bird species. The island is perfect for guided walking safaris, allowing you to get up close to the wildlife in a safe, open environment.

Have an early morning assisted check-out followed by a scenic drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is most famous (and rightly so) for how easy it is to see black and white rhinos, as well as the populations of lions (including some that, unusually, like to climb trees) and endangered Rothschild's giraffes. You also have a chance to see flamingos, leopards and plenty of birds. You might fall in love with the combination of lake, acacia forest and dramatic escarpment. You'll go on a guided game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. With an expert guide and in a safari vehicle, you'll search for rhinos, lions and flamingos. Later on, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, traveling via Narok, the largest town and gateway to the Mara region. Upon arrival, check in at Sarova Mara Game Camp, enjoy a delicious lunch, and take some time to relax.

Later in the afternoon, embark on your first exciting game drive in the Masai Mara. This world-renowned reserve is famous for its vast savannah plains teeming with wildlife, including the Big Five - lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos - as well as cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, hyenas, and countless antelope species.
