Drive from Amboseli to Lake Nakuru
Have an early morning assisted check-out followed by a scenic drive to Lake Nakuru. The park is most famous (and rightly so) for how easy it is to see black and white rhinos, as well as the populations of lions (including some that, unusually, like to climb trees) and endangered Rothschild's giraffes. You also have a chance to see flamingos, leopards and plenty of birds. You might fall in love with the combination of lake, acacia forest and dramatic escarpment. You'll go on a guided game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. With an expert guide and in a safari vehicle, you'll search for rhinos, lions and flamingos. Later on, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Nakuru to Mara
After breakfast, check out and depart for Masai Mara National Reserve via Narok, the largest Maasai town. Proceed to the reserve and check in at the Sarova Mara Hotels for lunch. At 4 pm, you will embark on an afternoon game drive. The land of Big Cat Diary and Disney's African Cats, the Maasai Mara is at the top of most people's Kenyan safari wishlists. The location of the "great migration" – one of the natural wonders of the world – is a gloriously beautiful, wildlife-rich savannah landscape. It was once described by the eminent biologist Julian Huxley as "the only easily accessible and readily studied remaining portion of the world's pre-human climax community at its tropical richest".
It's also a region where traditionally dressed Maasai still herd their cattle and goats in a lifestyle that, in some respects, hasn't changed much since they first arrived here 350 years ago. You will return to the lodge before dusk for dinner and an overnight stay.
