Transfer to Stone Town for ferry to Dar es Salaam & drive to Mikumi NP - Maasai Village Visit

Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar and a transfer to the ferry port for the first ferry to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, you'll meet your driver and start the scenic drive to Mikumi National Park, passing through charming villages and beautiful landscapes.

Once in the Mikumi area, you’ll visit a local Maasai village to experience their rich traditions and vibrant culture. Learn about their way of life, unique customs, and connection to the natural world.

After this cultural encounter, you’ll head to your lodge near the park, where you can relax and unwind, ready for an exciting safari the following day.

Full-Day Game Drive

Rise and shine! Today you'll have a whole day of wildlife watching waiting for you. After a delicious breakfast at the lodge, you'll start your day full of nature and wildlife.

Between 6:00-8:00 am, you will head to the park. Your gamedrive will start right away! Not a morning person? No problem! You can decide the start and end time of your safari yourself.

Between 12:00-2:00 pm, you will have a hot lunch at the restaurant inside the park or you will have a picnic in the park. If you want to make a big tour, we suggest you opt for a lunch box so you can go far from the entrance. If you prefer a hot lunch, you can opt for a lunch at the park's restaurant at no extra cost!

Around 5:30 pm, you'll start your journey back to the lodge where you can get some rest after a busy day!

You will sleep in a room in Mikumi Resort. If you wish to end your game drive a little earlier to relax a bit at the lodge, that's possible!

Drive back to Dar es Salaam for ferry to Zanzibar and return to your hotel

Unfortunately, today is the last day of our time together. Time to leave the mainland behind! You will head back to Dar es Salaam to catch the ferry to Zanzibar. Here you can enjoy the beautiful old town of Stone Town and relax on the paradise-like beaches. The ferry is modern with comfortable seats and AC. Just beware of not getting a sunburn if you want to enjoy the views on the outside deck.
