One of the park’s main highlights is the opportunity to get up close to the elephants that have made this area famous. You'll also encounter large troops of baboons, and with luck, you may spot one of the rare lion populations that spend much of their time in the trees. Between the lush forests at the base of the escarpment and the shimmering lake that gives the park its name, you'll experience incredible birdlife and, if fortunate, witness predators in action as they ambush their prey.
