Day 1

Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

You will be picked from the airport or from your Nairobi hotel by our representative for a safari briefing; then depart for Lake Naivasha passing through the lush central Kikuyu highlands making a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley escarpment view point. On arrival at the Lake resort, you will have lunch and afterwards take an afternoon boat excursion combined with an optional tour of the Crescent Island. Lake Naivasha is a fresh water lake fringed by a forest of yellow acacia, a vegetation of thick papyrus, cactus, pepper trees and a wide variety of flower plants, it is a fascinating bird watchers paradise for its 350 species recorded. Enjoy watching a broad selection of birds, lots of hippopotamus and numerous wildlife roaming free by the banks of the Lake. Return to your lakeside camp or resort for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Breakfast is served early followed by our departure, we shall be taking a morning adventure tour of the Hell’s Gate National Park, an impressive geomorphological feature formed from early volcanic activities, this resulted in the creation of spectacular sceneries of towering cliffs, scrub clad waste volcanoes, gorges and obsidian caves. Here you can opt for a biking expedition or a walking safari amidst spectacular wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Afterwards, we shall proceed on to the Lake Nakuru National Park with a short stop at Lake Elementaita, we arrive in good time for check in, lunch and brief relaxation. Game drive follows in this marvelous park famed as a bird watcher’s paradise for it's over 450 species, return to lodge while enjoying a spectacular sunset. Dinner and overnight at the Lake Nakuru game lodge.

Day 3

Lake Nakuru to Lake Bogoria

Early morning sunrise game drive in Lake Nakuru. Capture some predators pursue unsuspecting prey, watch a variety of birds and primates, lookout for the rare Rothschild Giraffe and prospect to see a good number of Rhinos and Buffalos. Return to lodge for breakfast and embark on a midmorning journey to Lake Bogoria, this drive takes us across the Equator and into the Northern frontier. Check in at the Lake Bogoria spur for Lunch, enjoy their naturally heated swimming pool and later head out for an afternoon game drive in the Park until sunset.
Lake Bogoria is a heavily alkaline lake rich in blue- green algae which attracts vast flocks of greater and lesser flamingos, a major attention grabber. The area is dry and semiarid surrounded by high basaltic cliffs, active hot water geysers dot the Lake shores forming impressive misty sprays. An adventure around this park feels like an off the beaten track experience where you encounter a good variety of wildlife and a prolific birdlife.

Day 4

Lake Bogoria to Lake Baringo

Breakfast in Lake Bogoria followed by departure for Lake Baringo; the second fresh water lake in the Great Rift Valley.
Arrive at the shores of Lake Baringo by midmorning and opt for a guided tour of the snake park, shortly after, embark on a motorized boat for an exploration of the Lake while heading to the Island camp for lunch.
Lake Baringo is an incredible birding hotspot, a critical habitat for over 470 species of both endemic and migratory birds, it also supports a remarkable number of wildlife notably crocodiles, hippos, reedbuck, klipspringer and the kudu.
The Lake hosts six species of fish including Tilapia, Nile Perch, Lungfish and Barbell. It has several islands, popular among them is Olkokwe which has fumaroles and hot springs. The area has important archaeological sites of great significance.
Sail back to the main land for an optional afternoon nature walk with a specialist resident bird watching guide or opt to relax in the camp until evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Lake Baringo to Nairobi

Lake Baringo to Nairobi

Wake up to the stunning views of a golden sunrise from your room at Island camp then enjoy unhurried breakfast and plan to leave with luggage on another boat adventure to access the mainland. You may opt to visit a traditional Njemp community for a cultural interaction before departing for Nairobi. Enjoy a scenic drive through a beautiful countryside, stopping briefly in Nakuru town for Lunch after which we then proceed on to Nairobi arriving in the evening. You are then dropped off at your reserved hotel or airport for your outbound flight back home. This marks the end of our 5 days marvelous adventure around the Great lakes of the Rift valley that is full of excitement and fond memories.
