Day 1-2
Maun / Moremi / Khwai
Maun / Moremi / Khwai
On day 1, your guide will meet you at 07h30 at a pre-arranged meeting point in Maun. From Maun, we'll drive through to Moremi Game Reserve, one of the best wilderness areas of Botswana, which covers swamp and dry areas. During the drive we'll search for the wide variety of wildlife and birds this area is renowned for. Camping will be in private designated campsites.
The tents are spacious 3x3m Meru-style tents with regular beds with a mattress, a private veranda, and an attached bathroom with a toilet, shower, and sink. The trip is non-participation (staff attend to all camp chores).
On day 2, we will explore the region surrounding the Khwai River (north-east Moremi / Khwai Concession). A mokoro excursion will take you along a tributary of the Khwai River to view game from a different perspective. Game drives in the early morning as the sun rises and in the late afternoon as the sun sets will be the norm. We'll select scenic (but safe) roadside spots for picnic lunches.

Savuti / Zwei Zwei - Chobe National Park
Chobe National Park, with its diverse and striking landscapes, will be your next destination. As you continue your search for wildlife, you will traverse the drier region of Savuti where bull elephants dot the plains. Savuti is very well known for its predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah and even African wild dog.
Again, camping will be in private designated campsites in your own spacious 3x3m Meru-style tent with en-suite bush ablutions, and staff will attend to all camp chores. Enjoy sundowners either on the drive to camp or at the camp, followed by a sumptuous dinner.
Our game drives to explore Southern Chobe National Park will continue, along with interesting facts and anecdotes recounted by your field guide.

Chobe floodplain - Chobe National Park
Chobe floodplain - Chobe National Park
From Savuti, we will head northwards to the Chobe River where your game drives will meander along the banks of the river, followed by the call of the majestic African fish eagle. The Chobe River floodplain is an amazing game-viewing area where water attracts large herds of buffalo, elephant, zebra and other herbivores. Due to the proliferation of prey, predators are likely to be close at hand. Sunsets in this region are often spectacular and allow amazing photographic opportunities.
On day 6, our game drives will continue to explore the Northern Chobe and floodplain, which teems with elephant herds.
Camping and dinners will again be set up and provided by our staff in private designated campsites. All you'll need to do is relax, enjoy the meals, and swap stories around the campfire at night while being serenaded by the melodious chirping of cicada beetles or the occasional plaintive cries of hyenas.
