The Central Serengeti is renowned for its superb game viewing year-round, thanks to its abundance of resident wildlife. In particular, the Seronera River Valley is a must-see, offering some of the best wildlife experiences on every safari, regardless of the season. Game viewing is especially rewarding during the dry season (June - November), when water is scarce in the plains, leading to a concentration of animals in the area. Resident herbivores such as impala, buffalo, hippo, warthog, topi, hartebeest, and giraffe can often be seen, while the resident carnivores, including lions and leopards, make for thrilling sightings.

Often referred to as the Eighth Natural Wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. Formed nearly 2 million years ago when the Ngorongoro volcano erupted and collapsed, its floor sank to create a natural enclosure surrounded by 600-meter-high walls. Here, you'll encounter elephants, warthogs, flamingos, abundant birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros, and all the iconic predatory cats. The crater is also a place where the Maasai graze their cattle alongside herds of buffalo and wildebeest, offering a unique glimpse of traditional life amidst a stunning wildlife spectacle.
