Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Program of the day: After breakfast, we depart for Tarangire National Park for a game drive. The park stretches along the Tarangire River and features low-lying hills on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Its natural vegetation includes acacia woodlands, towering African baobab trees, and expansive swamplands in the south. During Tanzania’s dry season, the river and swamps attract large numbers of wildlife.

Tarangire is known for housing some of Africa’s largest elephant herds. The park is also home to three rare animal species: the greater kudu, fringe-eared oryx, and a few ashy starlings. We’ll stop at the picnic site for lunch before concluding the game drive and returning to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

The crater supports a diverse array of species, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippos, and large African elephants.
