Day 2

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

You’ll get an early start this morning to begin your wildebeest calving safari, driving west through the world-renowned Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stopping to take a peek at the volcanic caldera of Ngorongoro Crater along the way. After about 3 hours on the road, you’ll reach the Ndutu region, which lies at the southern tip of the Serengeti. Ndutu is known for lush green plains dotted with flat-topped acacia trees, shallow alkaline lakes where flamingos and other birds gather in great numbers, and—of course—thousands of newborn wildebeest. You’ll keep your eyes peeled as you travel through the bush on your way to tonight’s camp, getting your first glimpse of the many young antelopes hidden among the herds.

Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)
High Season July to March (The Seronera area is crowded)
