In the late afternoon, you'll embark on an exhilarating boat safari along the majestic Rufiji River. As you glide through the water, you'll have the chance to observe hippos and crocodiles in their natural environment. Established in 1964, Mikumi is Tanzania's fourth-largest national park, covering an impressive 3,230 square kilometers. The Mkata River floodplain, a highlight of the park, offers excellent opportunities to spot a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, wild dogs, and impalas, as well as a diverse array of bird species.
