Departure from the Coast and Afternoon Game Drive in Tsavo West

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from your coastal hotel or resort, heading inland toward Tsavo West National Park. The journey offers scenic views as you transition from the coastal plains to the vast wilderness of Tsavo.

After settling into your lodge or tented camp within or near the park, enjoy a delicious lunch before setting out for your first afternoon game drive. Tsavo West is famous for its spectacular landscapes, including volcanic hills, lava flows, and the crystal-clear Mzima Springs. During the drive, you will have the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife such as large herds of elephants, buffalos, lions, and a host of bird species.

As the sun sets over the plains, return to your camp for dinner and a peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.

Morning Game Drive and Return to the Coast

Start your day early with a hearty breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive. The early hours are ideal for witnessing predators at their most active and for spotting elusive wildlife like leopards or shy antelope species. Visit Mzima Springs, where you can see hippos and crocodiles in the crystal-clear waters, and enjoy the beautiful natural scenery.

After a rewarding morning in the wild, return to camp for check-out. You’ll begin your journey back to the coast, arriving by late afternoon or early evening.
