Fly to Morondava and Drive to Kirindy

In the morning, take a domestic flight to Morondava on Madagascar's western coast. Upon arrival, drive to Kirindy Forest, a remarkable dry deciduous forest celebrated for its unique and diverse wildlife. En route, visit the iconic Avenue of the Baobabs, where the towering ancient trees create a breathtaking scene, especially as the sun sets, bathing the landscape in a golden glow.

After settling in at Akiba Lodge near Kirindy, embark on an evening adventure with a guided night walk in the forest. This is a rare opportunity to spot nocturnal wildlife, including the elusive giant jumping rat, various chameleons, and several species of lemurs that come alive after dark.

Kirindy to Bekopaka

Begin your day with an early morning guided walk in Kirindy Reserve, where you can spot the elusive Fossa, Madagascar’s largest carnivore, along with various species of lemurs and vibrant birdlife. After the walk, set out on a scenic drive north to Bekopaka, passing through picturesque landscapes and traditional Malagasy villages.

En route, cross the Tsiribihina River on a pontoon ferry, an authentic local experience during which the car is loaded onto the ferry for the journey across. Stop for a delicious lunch at the renowned MadZebu Restaurant in the village of Belo Sur Tsiribihina, where you can enjoy freshly prepared Malagasy cuisine before continuing your adventure toward Bekopaka.

Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park

On Day 4, begin your exploration of the dramatic limestone pinnacles of Grand Tsingy.
