Soon after departing the Windhoek Truck Port, the road winds through the scenic mountains, leading you to the stunning 'Window Bridge,' a natural frame showcasing the valley below. The hills display a golden hue during the dry mid-year months, transforming into vibrant green after the summer rains. You’ll arrive at Namib Desert Lodge around 12:00.

A short transfer will then take you to The Desert Grace Lodge, where you’ll check in and enjoy lunch, followed by a few hours of relaxation.

Approximately two hours before sunset, the Sundowner Dune Drive begins at the lodge reception. This 2-3 hour tour offers an enchanting exploration of Gondwana Namib Park, featuring fossilized dunes, the striking red dunes atop the plateau, and the many wonders of the Namib Desert. Refreshments and a light snack are provided during the excursion.

Upon returning from the Sundowner Dune Drive, a delightful dinner will await you.

An early start marks the beginning of an unforgettable adventure. The morning is dedicated to exploring the breathtaking dunes of Sossusvlei, renowned as some of the highest in the world. For those seeking a challenge, the climb up Big Daddy offers a demanding but immensely rewarding experience, with spectacular views stretching along its crest. After descending, the desert’s whispering sands guide you to Dead Vlei, a dreamlike expanse adorned with ancient camelthorn trees, often hailed as one of the most photographed spots in the world. The journey continues to the rugged Sesriem Canyon, a natural marvel showcasing the region's fascinating geology, before returning to the lodge for a relaxing evening.
Sossusvlei Excursion: The guided excursion includes brunch and refreshments, lasting approximately 5-6 hours. Be sure to pack sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, comfortable closed walking shoes.

Start your day with a relaxed breakfast and enjoy a few hours of leisure. By 12:00, be ready at the reception for a short transfer back to Namib Desert Lodge At 13:00, the Go2 Traveller Transfers will depart from Namib Desert Lodge, embarking on a scenic 5-hour journey (345km) to Windhoek. The route heads northwards to Rehoboth before continuing to Windhoek, offering breathtaking views of Namibia's desert landscape and the striking Naukluft Mountains. Along the way, you’ll encounter some of the country’s most stunning scenery. The journey includes a stop at Solitaire, just 30km from Namib Desert Lodge, where you can catch one last glimpse of the magnificent fossilized dunes that form an unforgettable backdrop. As you near Windhoek, you’ll pass Heroes’ Acre, a towering marble obelisk and war memorial commemorating Namibia's freedom fighters, a poignant reminder of the country's history since gaining independence in 1990.
Expected arrival at Windhoek Truck Port is around 18:00.
