Arusha - Southern Serengeti

Our experienced guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha at 6:30 AM and drive to the southern Serengeti, specifically to the Ndutu area, known for being the best location during the calving season.

Here, approximately 8,000 wildebeest calves are born each day. The region is mostly covered by plains and has lakes such as Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek, which attract wildlife with their water sources. These lakes are especially important during the calving season, providing water and attracting predators like lions, cheetahs, leopards, caracals, African wildcats, and servals. The area also offers fantastic photographic opportunities.

Full Day Southern Serengeti then Drive to Mto wa Mbu

Today is dedicated to a full day of exploration in the stunning Serengeti, beginning in the Ndutu area. Start with an early morning game drive to witness thousands of wildebeests giving birth during the calving season, where approximately 8,000 calves are born daily. This is also a prime opportunity to observe predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas in action as they hunt the newborns.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the bush, allowing you to relax and take in the breathtaking surroundings. After lunch, continue your game drive, exploring more of the Serengeti’s wonders before heading to Mto Wa Mbu for the Overnight Stay.

Tarangire - Arusha City

Our guide will pick you up for a 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, where you’ll enjoy a 7-8 hour game drive in this stunning park. Renowned for its large herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire is home to a rich variety of wildlife. You’ll have the chance to see lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, Thomson’s gazelles, impalas, warthogs, and a variety of bird species.

A picnic lunch will be served in the bush, letting you relax and soak in the park’s incredible scenery. After your game drive, we’ll head back to Arusha City, marking the end of your adventure..
