Madagascar Exotic Reserve, founded by Mr Peyrieras who was a Spanish herpetologist. The reserve is located 72 km from the capital (approx. 2h15 drive) home to endemic species such as chameleons of Madagascar like Calumma, Furcifer Brookesia, geckos, snakes, frogs, crocodiles, butterflies, stick insects... and also some groups of lemurs including the Coquerel's Sifaka.

Analamazaotra National Park, also known as Andasibe National Park, is a stunning protected area located in the Alaotra-Mangoro region of Madagascar. It is renowned for its rich biodiversity and beautiful landscapes. The park is home to a wide variety of species, including the famous Indri indri, the largest lemur species. You’ll also find other lemurs, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. He boasts a rich array of plant life, including many endemic species.

Return to the lodge, to enjoy lunch.

This afternoon, your driver-guide will meet you again for a visit to Voimma Reserve.

Vakona private reserve leads you around a lake where 40 crocodiles live freely. You will meet Kovu and Nala, two fosa (endemic carnivores of Madagascar, predators of lemurs), admire parrots, ostriches and aquatic birds, shiver at the sight of boas, and scratch the neck of tortoises.

Betania Fisherman Village visit

A fishermen village south of Morondava, accessible only by boat.

Drift by the mangroves — evergreen sea trees which grow along the coasts, before you reach the village, which is entirely closed off from the modern world. As a fishing village, the families in Betania put all of their efforts into the trade. The village beach has many little boatsthat meet with the day’s catch, and women and children help the fishermen pull the fish off the nets before they take the catch to the market back in Morondava.
