Day 2

Tarangire National Park

At 07:30 AM, After breakfast, your Professional Africa Safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation to begin your journey to Tarangire National Park, a scenic two-and-a-half-hour drive on well-maintained tarmac roads.

The Park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards.

At 01:00PM, Lunch will be served at a picturesque picnic site within the park, followed by an exciting game drive. Afterward, you’ll continue to your next accommodation in Karatu, concluding an unforgettable day of exploration.

At 07:30AM, After breakfast, you will ascend into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you approach Ngorongoro Crater, its breathtaking beauty unfolds like a hidden world. Enclosed by steep volcanic walls lies a pristine wilderness of sweeping savannahs, scattered acacia woodlands, shimmering lakes, and verdant swamps. Formed when a massive volcano erupted and collapsed in on itself over two million years ago, the Crater spans an impressive 260 km².

As you descend into this natural amphitheater, you’ll find yourself amidst thriving herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and an astonishing array of over 500 bird species. Ngorongoro is also one of the best places to spot the critically endangered black rhino in its natural habitat.

At 14:00, After your time in the Crater, your journey continues through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Serengeti, entering the park from its southern gateway, ready for the next chapter of your adventure.

At 7:30 AM, you will set out for an exciting game drive, immersing yourself in the beauty of the wilderness until 1:00 PM. Afterward, you’ll continue your journey to Karatu, where a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay await you.

The Serengeti is a place of unparalleled beauty and wonder. Renowned for its expansive open grasslands, it offers exceptional wildlife sightings in a setting that has remained largely unchanged for millions of years. While the Serengeti is teeming with diverse wildlife, it is perhaps most famous for the awe-inspiring Great Migration. Each year, vast herds of wildebeest, accompanied by zebras and antelope, follow an ancient route in search of fresh grazing lands. The migration can be seen year-round; the key is knowing the best locations for each season.

In the afternoon, you’ll begin your journey back to Karatu, taking in the serene beauty of the Serengeti and perhaps encountering more wildlife along the way.

Day 5

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

At 07:30 AM, After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse park 120km west of Arusha. Everything you’ll see here is on a different scale. It is both compact (this is one of the narrowest parks in Africa) and epic (the Great Rift Escarpment towers over Lake Manyara’s western boundary). The park’s namesake is a shallow, salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons and is home to thousands of wading birds (including flamingos and over 500 other bird species). You may see baboon and elephant in the park’s thick evergreen forest, and watch for the tree-climbing lions that have become famous throughout Africa.
Picnic lunch in the park. After your game drive, you will say farewell to your Guide and will be dropped off at a place of your choosing e.g. Arusha, Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport.
