Arrival at Nairobi Airport: Depending on your flight, you'll arrive in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. And be transfered to Nanyuki either by air or by road depending on your choice while booking.
Travel to Nanyuki: A 3–4 hour drive from Nairobi to Nanyuki, the base town for Mount Kenya climbs. You can arrange for transport with your tour company or take a private vehicle.
Overnight Stay: Spend the night in the lodge in Nanyuki. Here, you can prepare your gear and acclimatize to the altitude.

Nanyuki to Old Moses Camp 3, 300m
Breakfast: Early breakfast and briefing on the climb.
Transfer to Sirimon Gate: The starting point of your hike. It is about a 45-minute drive from Nanyuki to the Sirimon Gate.
Trekking to Old Moses Camp: Begin your climb from Sirimon Gate to Old Moses Camp (3,300 meters). This is a 9-12 km hike, and the journey takes around 3-4 hours, depending on pace. The trek is a moderate ascent through forests and bamboo zones.
Arrive and Overnight: After arriving at Old Moses Camp, relax and acclimatize. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Old Moses Camp to Shipton's Camp 4, 200m
Breakfast: Early breakfast, followed by a briefing for the day's hike.
Trekking to Shipton's Camp: This day is more challenging. You will cover around 14 km, taking about 6-8 hours. The route goes through moorland, and as you gain altitude, you will notice changes in vegetation.
Overnight at Shipton's Camp: Upon arrival at Shipton’s Camp (4,200 meters), rest and prepare for the summit attempt the next day. Dinner and overnight stay at Shipton’s Camp.

Summit Day, Point Lenana 4, 985m
Early Start: The summit attempt begins early, around 2-3 AM. You will ascend through the rocky terrain towards Point Lenana (4,985 meters), the third-highest peak on Mount Kenya.
Summit: After a strenuous 4-6 hour climb, you will reach the summit around sunrise. The view from the top is breathtaking, with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, glaciers, and valleys.
Descent to Shipton's Camp: After spending some time at the summit, begin the descent back to Shipton's Camp for rest. The descent takes about 3-4 hours.
Overnight at Shipton's Camp: After returning, relax, have dinner, and rest for the night.

Shipton's Camp to Sirimon Gate and Return to Nairobi
Breakfast: A descent to Sirimon Gatebafter breakfast, takes about 4-5 hours.
Drive back to Nanyuki: Once at the Sirimon Gate, your vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Nanyuki.
Lunch in Nanyuki: Enjoy a hearty lunch in Nanyuki before the drive back to Nairobi.
Return to Nairobi: Arrive back in Nairobi by late afternoon or early evening. From here, you can continue your travel plans or head to the airport.

Acclimatization: Mount Kenya’s altitude is high, and proper acclimatization is crucial to avoid altitude sickness.
