1-Day Rhino Sanctuary & Wild Dog Mkomazi Tour

After breakfast your guide will pick you up from your hotel, you will have a short brief about your safari and the trip will start. This park lies in a beautiful setting at the foot of the green slopes of the Pare and Usambara Mountains which dominate its borders. Depending on the weather, Mount Kilimanjaro can also be seen from the park. Mkomazi is easily accessible and has some truly spectacular scenery with its semi-arid savannah, acacia-covered slopes, and grassy plains that are home to large herds of giraffes, elands, hartebeests, zebras, buffalos, and elephants, to name just a few.
Mkomazi is also home to the Rhino Sanctuary where you can see the very rare African black rhinos, African wild dogs currently classified as a critically endangered species. The park is also a great destination for bird watchers with over 400 recorded species living here. You'll enjoy a walking safari with an armed ranger. Thereafter, you will commerce to Moshi.
