On Arrival, our guide will pick you up from Kigali International Airport and embark on the Road drive headed to Volcanoes. You will keep your head outside as the journey has many beautiful scenery, hills, and mountains. You will trek the golden monkeys from this National Park. This activity is less strenuous compared to Gorilla Trekking. Later Transfer to Bwindi across the Ugandan Border. You will cross through Cyanika or Katuna border crossing.

Day 2

Gorilla Treeking in Bwindi National Park

After breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for briefing by park ranger guides, depart with picnic lunch boxes to start Gorilla trekking – the activity can last up to 4 hours trek or more to find the Mountain Gorillas as you hike up and down the slopes with dense mist covered vegetation. Hence you will have a packed lunch for this activity. This active quest will eventually bring you to the face of one of the most sought-after mountain Gorillas. Upon reaching them, you will have a full hour with them while observing and learning their behavior as you take photos.

Day 3

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth through Ishasha and evening Boat Cruise

After having an early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to the Ishasha sector. You will embark on the game drive that will give you a chance to see tree-climbing lions. You will be amazed to see them resting on the branches of fig trees during afternoon hours. In the afternoon hours, you will drive to Mweya for a Boat cruise along Kazinga channel. You will appreciate the high scores of Elephants, Hippos, Buffalos Bathing, and crocodiles. Some bird species will also be seen including the Great Pelicans.

Day 4

Transfer to Kibale National Park from Queen Elizabeth

Transfer to Kibale National Park from Queen Elizabeth

We start our action-packed fourth day with an early morning breakfast at the lodge. Afterward, we proceed to the famed Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park to spot various species of wild animals. The Kasenyi plains are found in the vast savannahs of the Albertine Rift in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and it will be a morning full of adventure! Expect to encounter lions, herds of buffalos, elephants, Uganda kobs, topi, and bushbucks. While spotting the ‘big five’ in the park is not guaranteed, on a lucky day, you may sight leopards to make it the ‘big four.’ We will return to the lodge for lunch.
After the Kasenyi Plains Game Drive, drive to Kibale National Park (~3hrs drive). If time permits, visit the award-winning Bigodi Community for a community tourism experience. At Bigodi wetland sanctuary, you will see various bird species inhabiting the swamps and the nearby Forests.

Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale National Park

After an early morning breakfast, we will drive to the Kibale Forest to experience tracking the chimpanzees in their forest home. Visitors to Kibale Forest have more than a 90% chance of encountering these creatures. Kibale Forest is not only a haven for chimps but it’s also home to other species of primates, and if you’re lucky, on the Kibale trek you might encounter other different colobus monkeys, olive baboons, and red-tailed monkeys.

After having breakfast, we embark on the journey to Kampala and head to Entebbe for your Departure back home. This will be your last day of the safari. There will be sightseeing along the way.
