Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport; meet by our knowledgeable driver guide, after greetings and double check your bags will transfer you to Moshi town (45 minutes’ drive). Briefing will be provided by your Kilimanjaro professional and experienced guide. Your Kilimanjaro guide will also check your climbing equipment’s. Anything missing can be rented for you.

Day 2

Londorossi Gate – Mti Mkubwa Camp

Londorossi Gate – Mti Mkubwa Camp

A guide and support crew will meet you at the hotel for a briefing before heading to Kilimanjaro’s western entrance, Londorossi Gate (2,200m). After obtaining permits, you'll trek towards Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,780m), passing through rainforest—raincoats are essential. Upon arrival, the team sets up tents and prepares lunch. Later, you'll go on an acclimatization hike towards Shira 1 Camp (3,095m), gaining 300m in altitude before returning to Mti Mkubwa for dinner.

Acclimatization hikes are crucial for summit success and minimizing altitude sickness risks.

Day 3

Mti Mkubwa Camp – Shira 1 Camp

During the trek from Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp, you'll be treated to stunning views of the Shira Plateau and Kibo Volcano. This portion of the trek is relatively easy and takes about 5-6 hours, allowing you to begin the acclimatization process gradually, which is essential for successful trekking. Upon reaching Shira 1 Camp (3,505m), your team of specialists will prepare lunch, and you'll have the opportunity to rest in your tent or explore the nearby area.

Day 4

Shira 1 Camp – Shira 2 Camp

Shira 1 Camp – Shira 2 Camp

Departing from Shira 1 Camp (3,505 m) and a light trekking towards the second high altitude camp: Shira 2 Camp (3,900 m). This trek is not difficult and you will be able to enjoy spectacular views of Africa and the unique flora of Kilimanjaro and the surrounding area. Shira 2 Camp is the best place on the trip to see Mount Meru (the fifth summit of Africa), weather permitting.
When you arrive to camp you will have lunch, and after a two-hour rest everyone will complete an acclimatization hike towards Lava Tower Camp that features a 300 meter gain in altitude.
Trekking from Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp:

Day 5

Shira 2 Camp – Barranco Camp

After breakfast, you'll depart Shira 2 Camp (3,900m) and begin the challenging ascent to Lava Tower (4,630m), a key point of the route. This section involves several ascents and descents, ultimately reaching an altitude over 4,600 meters. It may be tough, and discomfort may arise, but you'll spend 1-2 hours here to acclimatize, with lunch served at Lava Tower. Afterward, you'll descend to Barranco Camp (3,960m), where you'll get a view of the famous Barranco Wall, known for its size and steepness. You'll tackle it the following day, but rest assured, it's a simple hike.

Note: If any participant feels ill, the group may skip Lava Tower and follow an alternative route for porters, limiting altitude to 4,400m.

Day 6

Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp

After breakfast at Barranco Camp, you'll begin the hike up the Barranco Wall, which is not difficult and takes around an hour. Once at the top, you'll have time to rest and take photos with the stunning view of Kibo Volcano. Next, you'll start the more challenging trek to Karanga Camp, which involves several ascents and descents. Don't worry, your guides will maintain a comfortable pace for the group. Upon reaching Karanga, you'll enjoy a warm lunch, then take a short acclimatization hike towards Barafu Camp, gaining 300 meters in altitude before descending back to camp.

Note: The acclimatization hike is an essential part of the process to reduce altitude sickness and increase summit success.

Day 7

Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp

In the morning after breakfast, you begin your way to Barafu Summit Camp (4,640 m), the starting point for a night summiting Uhuru Peak (5,895 m). Our team will set up a camp for you ahead of time, including tents and sleeping bags, so you can relax. After regaining strength, you have to complete an acclimatization hike towards the intermediate Kosovo Summit Camp (4,800 m) and then back to Barafu Camp, where you will be served a hot dinner. It is better to spend the remainder of the day resting and sleeping before night summiting.

Day 8

Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – Millennium Camp

Departure from Barafu Camp (4,640 m) at night and the start of summiting Kilimanjaro: Uhuru Peak (5,895 m). Technically the climb is relatively simple; however, the most challenging part is the high altitude. Each pair of climbers will get a personal guide for the entire ascent to monitor your physical and mental conditions. After your successful ascent to Uhuru Peak, you can descend to the nearest glacier if desired. Then you will return to Barafu Camp and after a 2-hour rest continue your descent to Millennium Camp (3,820 m).
Note: Don't forget that 90% of all accidents occur during the descent, including all broken arms and legs. Please pay attention to your feet, as there is a high risk of damaging your toenails.

The camp is situated in a tropical rainforest. When you wake up, you will feel relief from the reduction of the height and the satisfaction of reaching the summit. After a warm breakfast, you will head for the park's exit: Mweka Gate (1,640 m). After your descent the whole group will gather to congratulate you, followed by offering you a chance to share your opinions on the climb in the guestbook. Lastly, we will present you with your commemorative certificates in our office and provide you a transfer back to the hotel.

After breakfast at your hotel today we shall have a short walk around Moshi town then transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport back home or proceed to Zanzibar.
