1-Day Zanzibar Jozani Forest and Spice Farm Tour

The only national park in Zanzibar is Jozani Forest, also called Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park. Despite its tiny size (just 50 km2), it is a serene and lovely destination. You will walk through the forest where you can find various flora and fauna including the infamous red colobus monkey which is endemic to Zanzibar. Along with seeing the mangrove swamp and strolling through the mangrove forest, you will also be going to the floating mangrove bridge to observe the rich ecosystem. You will leave this nature reserve with unforgettable memories.
For the Spice Tour, in 1850 Sultan Said Said, who was greatly impressed by Zanzibar's fertile land, imported a variety of spices especially from Asia as one of his key commodities. We make it possible for you to visit the farms to observe, taste, and photograph the spices. The guide will describe how local people grow, harvest, and use spices. Spices in little packets will be available for purchase as presents.
