Day 1

Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from your accommodation in Arusha, where you’ll meet your guide. After a brief introduction, you’ll depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its massive elephant population and scenic landscapes dotted with iconic baobab trees. The two-hour drive to the park is a pleasant one, offering views of rural Tanzanian landscapes and local villages. Upon entering the park, you’ll embark on a game drive, exploring the diverse habitats that sustain a wealth of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species.
In Tarangire, you’ll also witness one of the highest concentrations of wildlife outside the Serengeti, with chances to see large herds of elephants, especially near the Tarangire River, the park’s primary water source. This river draws animals from all over, creating excellent opportunities for close wildlife encounters. After a full day of game viewing, you’ll drive to a nearby lodge.

Day 2

After breakfast, you’ll be driven to Lake Manyara National Park, a beautiful and ecologically diverse park is unique, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Rift Valley escarpment, and hosts an impressive range of habitats. As you drive through dense forests, open savannahs, and marshlands, you’ll encounter a variety of animals. The park is especially known for its tree-climbing lions, a rare behavior that makes these predators an intriguing sight. Look out for baboons, blue monkeys, and an abundance of birds, including the vibrant pink flamingos often seen along the lake’s edge.

Day 3

On the final day, you’ll wake up early to maximize your time in Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera and home to an astonishing concentration of wildlife. After breakfast, you’ll drive to the crater’s rim and descend 600 meters to the crater floor, entering a world where wildlife roams freely within the stunning natural enclosure. This ecosystem supports an impressive range of animals, including elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, leopards, lions, and various antelope species. Your guide will navigate through the crater floor’s grasslands, woodlands, and marshes, ensuring optimal viewing opportunities.
Around midday, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated spot within the crater, taking in the magnificent surroundings as hippos and other animals graze nearby. In the afternoon, you’ll begin the journey back to Arusha, arriving by evening, where your unforgettable 3-day safari concludes.
