Your private safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Arusha for the journey to Tarangire National Park, approximately a 2.5-hour drive. Tarangire is celebrated for its large elephant herds, vast savannahs, iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and the lifeline of the park—the Tarangire River. This river attracts a diverse array of wildlife, including giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, as well as buffalos, zebras, and wildebeests, often accompanied by predators such as lions and leopards.

During the game drive, you'll have the chance to observe these animals in their natural habitat and take in the stunning landscapes from the vehicle's open roof. Mto wa Mbu to Lake Natron

After breakfast, you will begin with a journey to Lake Natron, a wild and remote destination nestled in northeastern Tanzania between the Ngorongoro Highlands and the Serengeti plains. Unlike other locations, the allure of Lake Natron lies in its breathtaking landscapes rather than its wildlife. The surrounding area, inhabited by the Maasai, is dry, desolate, and hauntingly beautiful.

You will drive to Africa Safari Lake Natron, in time for lunch. Later, you'll visit the base of Oldoinyo Lengai, Africa’s only active volcano, followed by a serene sunset walk along the shores of the lake. Known as the "Mountain of God," Oldoinyo Lengai stands as a majestic backdrop to one of the most alkaline lakes in the world. Lake Natron is a haven for millions of tiny crustaceans, attracting thousands of lesser flamingos, making it one of the most critical flamingo breeding grounds on the planet.

This region is a prime spot to observe the Great Migration during certain times of the year, as well as predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards in their natural habitat.

Later we’ll transition to Central Serengeti, an area famous for its abundant wildlife and iconic kopjes. These rocky outcrops serve as a vantage point for predators and are often surrounded by grazing herbivores like zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles. The Central Serengeti also provides opportunities to spot elephants, giraffes, and a variety of bird species that call this region home.
