Day 1

After breakfast, you'll be picked up from your hotel to start your safari in Tarangire. During this time of year, thousands of animals make their way from the dry Masai steppe to the Tarangire River in search of water. Covering an area of 2,600 square kilometers, Tarangire is famous for its large elephant and buffalo herds. You'll also have the chance to see lions, giraffes, impalas, wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles. This reserve is known as the best place to spot the fringe-eared oryx. Your day will include a game drive through the park, followed by an overnight stay at the camp in Mto wa Mbu.

After breakfast, you will begin your drive to Serengeti National Park, passing through Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you'll enjoy the beautiful views of the highland farmlands. Leaving the highlands, you'll descend into the vast, open grasslands of the Serengeti, often called the heart of wild Africa. Your route will take you to the Seronera region, famous for its rich wildlife around the Seronera River, which serves as an essential water source for many animals. You'll arrive just in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in the park. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Matawi Serengeti camp.

Your Serengeti National Park game drive will kick off early in the morning. The day's schedule will be customized based on your preferences, allowing you to choose your activities. Your guide will provide recommendations for the best times to begin your game drives and wake-up calls. For instance, you may start with a morning drive, return to the camp or lodge for lunch or brunch, and then enjoy some downtime before heading out for an afternoon drive. Alternatively, you can choose to have a picnic lunch during your game drive. Afterward, you'll return to your accomodation for overnight stay and dinner.

After an early breakfast, you'll head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a game drive en route. A stop of at least 30 minutes will be made at a Maasai village, offering a genuine cultural experience. You will arrive at the Ang'ata Ngorongoro camp in time for dinner and your overnight stay.

You'll explore this vibrant "Garden of Eden," a vast volcanic caldera, famous for its rich variety of landscapes, including grasslands, marshes, woodlands, and year-round water sources that sustain a wide range of wildlife. After the exploration, you'll continue your journey to the camp in Mto wa Mbu.
