Day 2

Arusha-Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for the drive to Tarangire National Park, which takes approximately two and a half hours on well-maintained roads. Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River, the park becomes a lifeline for wildlife during the dry season. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, some believed to be over a thousand years old. You’ll also spot a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, hartebeests, and bushbucks, as well as predators like lions and leopards. The park is also a haven for bird enthusiasts, hosting more breeding bird species than anywhere else on Earth.
Enjoy a picnic lunch within the park before heading to your accommodation near Mto wa Mbu.

After breakfast, journey into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a stop to admire the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. Continuing onward, you’ll enter the southern Serengeti, a region famous for its vast plains and incredible wildlife. Depending on the season, you might witness the Great Migration a natural wonder where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes travel in search of water and greener pastures.

Enjoy a picnic lunch and an overnight stay at a public campsite in Central Serengeti.

You can opt for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch or split your day into morning and afternoon drives, returning to camp for lunch in between. Either way, the Serengeti’s unparalleled beauty will leave you spellbound.

Start your day with a scenic drive towards Ngorongoro Crater, taking in more remarkable wildlife along the way. Spend the afternoon exploring this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater, formed by the collapse of an ancient volcano, is a natural sanctuary teeming with life. Its diverse landscapes range from grasslands and woodlands to sparkling lakes and wetlands. The area is home to thousands of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. Keep an eye out for the endangered black rhino, often spotted in the open grasslands.

After an exciting day, travel to your accommodation in Mto wa Mbu.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

Conclude your adventure with a visit to Lake Manyara National Park, located just 120 km west of Arusha. Though compact, this park features diverse ecosystems, from dense forests to grassy floodplains, all set against the backdrop of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment. Lake Manyara is home to thousands of wading birds, including flamingos, as well as tree-climbing lions and thriving populations of elephants and baboons.

After a memorable game drive and picnic lunch, your safari will conclude with a drop-off at your Hotel.
