Journey from Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your Lion King Safari guide will collect you from your accommodation after breakfast. This morning, you will embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park, a drive of approximately two and a half hours along well-maintained tarmac roads. The park derives its name from the Tarangire River, the sole water source for wildlife during the dry season. Known for its impressive elephant families, the park often showcases these majestic creatures gathered near the river. You may also encounter giraffes, bushbuck, and hartebeest. Various predators, including lions and leopards. Notably, Tarangire hosts more bird species than any other location worldwide! Additionally, you will admire the majestic baobab trees, some of which are believed to be over a thousand years old. Lunch will be enjoyed at a picnic site within the park. Following your game drive, you will proceed to your accommodation in Karatu.

Karatu to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will ascend into the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will have the opportunity to stop and appreciate the stunning Ngorongoro Crater. Following this, you will transition through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to reach the southern part of the Serengeti National Park.
The Serengeti National Park is undeniably breathtaking! It is celebrated for its expansive open grasslands, which offer outstanding wildlife viewing opportunities. While it is rich in wildlife, it is particularly renowned for its spectacular annual migration. Depending on when you visit, you may observe one of the seven natural wonders as large herds of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope migrate through the area in search of water and fresh grass.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch and spend the night at a premium tented camp in Central Serengeti.

Serengeti National Park
This entire day is allocated for game drives in the Serengeti. The Serengeti is renowned for its rich wildlife, including impala, buffalo, crocodile, and hippo. Along with its iconic landscapes, there is a great possibility of spotting predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. It is truly a transformative experience!
Today, you can opt for early morning and late afternoon game drives, returning to the camp for lunch. Alternatively, you may participate in a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch enjoyed in the park.

Nyota Luxury Camp to Ngorongoro Crater
Following breakfast, you will wind your way toward Ngorongoro Crater, savoring more stunning views along the route! Majestic volcanic walls surround Ngorongoro Crater, a pristine wilderness featuring extensive savannahs, acacia woodlands, sparkling lakes, and wetlands. The crater was formed when a colossal volcano erupted and subsequently collapsed two to three million years ago. The journey down into the crater is an experience on its own, and once you arrive at the crater floor, you will soon encounter large herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The crater presents you the best opportunity to spot the endangered black rhino, which can occasionally be seen in the open grasslands.
After a fulfilling afternoon in the crater, you will travel to your accommodation in Karatu.

Lake Manyara National Park
Embark on a drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet diverse gem 120 km west of Arusha. This park, nestled along the Great Rift Escarpment, offers a unique blend of intimacy and grandeur. Its shallow salt lake, which fluctuates with the seasons, attracts thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and over 500 bird species. Explore the dense evergreen forest, home to baboons, elephants, and the iconic tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch amidst this stunning landscape. After an exciting game drive, you'll be dropped off at your chosen location, such as Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport.
