By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater rim, where panoramic views of the crater floor await. Tonight, you’ll stay at a lodge or campsite with views over this UNESCO World Heritage site, preparing for the next day’s adventure into the crater itself.

Today, you will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s premier wildlife hotspots. The crater’s enclosed ecosystem provides a sanctuary for nearly every East African species, including the rare black rhino. On your game drive, keep an eye out for lions, elephants, and large groups of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles. The seasonal Lake Magadi attracts a variety of birdlife, including flamingos. After a memorable morning in the crater, you’ll drive back to Arusha, where your incredible 5-day safari adventure concludes.
