Lowland Gorilla Trekking
Begin your Lowland (Grauer’s gorilla) expedition with an early breakfast, followed by registration and a briefing at the Kahuzi-Biega National Park offices. An experienced park guide will accompany you on a search for the designated lowland gorilla family, with the trek lasting between 2 to 6 hours, including one hour of observing the Grauer’s gorillas. Afterward, return to your hotel or lodge in Bukavu to relax, or take a stroll through the nearby communities with a local guide. You can visit the Lwiro sanctuary for orphaned chimpanzees or Kibati Falls, explore the Mbayo tea estates, and more.
