Safari Starts from Arusha - Drive to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you'll be picked up from your accommodation in Arusha or the airport and embark on your journey to Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a wildlife haven. Spanning nearly 15,000 square kilometers, it is home to over 2 million ungulates, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and around 500 bird species. Many visitors come to witness the awe-inspiring migration of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and eland as they trek across the plains in search of water and fresh grass. This remarkable migration follows a seasonal pattern determined by rainfall and the nutrient-rich grasses of the Masai Mara/Serengeti ecosystem.

Lunch will be served on the vehicle during the safari. By late afternoon, you’ll reach your lodge to unwind, enjoy dinner, and reflect on the unforgettable moments of the day.

Game Drive in Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you’ll check out from the lodge and drive to Tarangire National Park in the Manyara Region. The park gets its name from the Tarangire River, which flows through it.

As the sixth-largest national park in Tanzania, covering 2,600 square kilometers, Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds. The park is often drier than the Serengeti, but its landscape is lush and green, featuring expansive grasslands, mixed acacia woodlands, and beautiful strips of aquatic forest. Notable for its iconic baobab trees, some of which can live up to 600 years and store between 300 and 900 liters of water, Tarangire offers a unique and captivating safari experience.

In the afternoon, you’ll take a break for lunch. Afterward, the game drive continues, and in the late afternoon, you’ll begin your journey back to your accommodation in Arusha or head to the airport, marking the end of your safari.
