Your driver-guide will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport or your hotel in Entebbe/Kampala and transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for your first Big Five experience with an hour of rhino tracking. Enjoy lunch here before continuing to the park.

In Murchison, spot lions, giraffes, buffalo, elephants, and hartebeest. Experience the world's most powerful waterfall and explore this birding haven with over 450 species, including the elusive shoebill stork, dwarf kingfisher, white-thighed hornbill, and goliath heron. Day 2

Start your day with an early breakfast before exploring the northern section of Murchison Falls National Park, known for its dense wildlife. Enjoy exceptional game viewing and photography opportunities with sights of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, lions, and leopards, alongside a variety of bird species.

After lunch, embark on a 3-hour boat trip to the base of the falls, a highlight of Murchison. Cruise past massive pods of hippos, basking crocodiles, and countless aquatic birds along the riverbanks as you approach the thunderous falls.

If water levels allow, proceed for a rewarding hike to the top of the falls. Though challenging, the breathtaking views make it truly unforgettable. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to the top of Murchison Falls (if you didn’t hike earlier) for a breathtaking view of the falls as they thunder through a narrow gorge. Otherwise, depart directly for Kibale Forest National Park.

Kibale is renowned for its rich primate life, including chimpanzees, Colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and mangabeys. Upon arrival, check into your lodge, relax, and enjoy the serene forest atmosphere. End the day with dinner and a restful overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, head to the forest head office for a briefing before starting your chimpanzee trek with a ranger at 8:00 am. Kibale Forest National Park is home to the world’s highest concentration of primates, including over 5,000 chimpanzees in Uganda’s wild, making it an ideal location to encounter these fascinating creatures.

Once you locate the chimpanzees, enjoy a magical one-hour experience observing their behavior up close. Return to the lodge for lunch before departing for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive in the evening, check into your lodge, and unwind with dinner and an overnight stay.

Return to the lodge for a relaxing break and enjoy a well-deserved lunch.

In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway linking Lake Edward and Lake George. After breakfast, set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its tree-climbing lions. With an 80% chance of spotting these unique lions, keep your eyes peeled as they rest on fig tree branches—though sightings can sometimes be elusive.

Continue to Bwindi, home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Its mist-covered hillsides are blanketed by one of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests. After an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide, you will enter the impenetrable Bwindi Forest. The beauty of this rainforest is spectacular! The area offers a dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain varies with the movements of these great primates. Once you locate a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long-savoured.

Afterwards, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of 2,200 – 2,478m, but it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical you could admire them all day. It's also considered the 3rd deepest lake in Africa at 900m deep.
