3-Day Murchison Falls, Chimpanzee, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Transfer to murchison falls national park via ziwa rhino sanctuary evening game drive

After an early breakfast, you will be briefed by the guide about the 3 days’ safari. You will then set off from your hotel as you embark on the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. You will pass through Luwero town before having a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Upon arrival, you will meet the site guide and get a briefing before heading to the bush in search of the rhinos. The tracking will take approximately 3 hours. Have lunch before proceeding with our journey to Masindi town.
You will proceed to the park and visit the top of the falls. This site gives spectacular views of some parts of the park as well as Murchison falls. You will take photos and proceed evening game drive where you will encounter with the animals before the go to the dens to sleep. Watch the animals as they hunt for their food. After the evening Game drive, head to the lodge for check-in, relaxation and overnight.

Game drive and boat cruise

Wake up early, have breakfast and set off by 6:00am for the game drive. The drive gives possibilities of catching the early risers and big cats in action before they retire to their havens. Other animals you will see during the drive include Lake Chad buffaloes, African elephants, Lelwel’s hartebeest, Nubian giraffes, oribis among other species. Common bird species include the Goliath heron, African skimmer and the Red-throated bee eater. Head back to the lodge for lunch and to refresh.
Shortly after lunch head for a launch cruise on the Nile to the bottom of the falls. This water safari will expose you to schools of hippos, Nile crocodile busking by the river side and different bird species and other wildlife drinking water at the shores. Depending on the fatigue, you can choose to head back to the lodge for relaxation or continue with a short game drive.

Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to kampala

Delight in a morning breakfast, after drive to Budongo forest headquarters for a briefing. Later transfer to the trekking point and begin the trekking. You are allowed one hour to stay with the chimpanzees upon meeting them, learning their behaviors, watching them feeding, viewing the juveniles jumping from one tree branch to another making noise to each other in Budongo forest. You can watch the various colorful bird species during the chimpanzee trekking. Go for lunch and proceed to Kampala.
