6-Day Explore Boteti River, Nxai Pan and Makgadikgadi

Boteti River (Kumaga)

A day before your safari, a meet and greet will be done where a full in-person briefing will be given and any requests/ queries shall be attended to. Morning you will be picked up from your lodge by your guide in the morning. You will embark on a 145km journey on the tarmac to the Boteti River(Kumaga National Park) Park entrance. You will stop along the way for a packed breakfast. Upon entering the reserve, you are designated a wilderness camping site where you'll go stay for 2-nights. Tent size 3*3.5m equipper stretcher bed, a veranda, attached bathroom with toilet, shower, and hand basin. Camp chores are done by staff.

Nxai Pan National Park

You will wake up early and embark on a morning drive to spot different wildlife species found in Boteti River as well as be mesmerized by the beautiful landscapes. You will get back to camp and have breakfast, pick up our camp, and move to Nxai Pan. You'll enjoy a game drive on the way. You will have a stopover for lunch at Baines Baobab. After lunch, you will explore Nxai Pan on the afternoon game and sundowner. You will arrive at the camp and have a shower and a warm dinner. After dinner, you can sit around the fire with our staff to share experiences on nature, history, and culture. You will be in Nxai Pan for 2 nights.

Makgadikgadi Pan National Park (Planet Baobab)

You will wake up early morning for breakfast and a morning game drive. You'll have a stopover for tea by the gate. You will take the road Planet Baobabs in the Makgadikgadi Pans region. You will find Planet Baobab nestled amongst 17 giant baobabs adjacent to the village of Gweta and about 40 km from the pans. You will stay here for 1night in quirky, cool, and super comfy thatched huts that take more than a little inspiration from the local Botswana villages, all arranged in friendly clusters. After check-in, you'll set out on your afternoon game drive that will take you deep into the Ntwetwe Pan, the larger of the 2 Makgadikgadi pans. You will have a personal encounter with the meerkats, which are semi-habituated to human presence. However, they are not tame but just used to our non-threatening presence.
