Fly from Zanzibar to Arusha and Drive to Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins with a morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha. You will meet your guide upon arrival and start a game drive in Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a leisurely lunch by the Tarangire River. After lunch, we will travel to Mto wa Mbu for an overnight stay at Twiga Lodge & Campsite (camping). Optional activities include a night game drive on Lake Manyara or a sundowner experience on the Great Rift Valley.

Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro Crater, recognized as one of the world's natural wonders, showcases its beauty during early morning game drives. As the largest volcanic caldera on the planet, it boasts a spectacular mix of grassland, forest and swamp. The permanent water on the crater floor supports over 25,000 large mammals, including elephants, lions, leopards and the rare black rhinos. In this remarkable setting, the Maasai people coexist peacefully with the wildlife, grazing their cattle in a conservation area established in 1956. This area was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978, making Ngorongoro a unique destination in Tanzania. After your game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, your guide will drive you back to Arusha Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar.
