You will be met at Kilimanjaro International Airport and welcomed to Tanzania by a Dikop Tours staff member. Our Staff member (Guide) will drive you to Arusha to your accommodation where you will have the chance to relax and prepare for tomorrows safari.

Day 2
Arusha - Tarangire National Park

In the morning you will start your safari with a drive to the Tarangire National Park. The park is roughly the size of Luxembourg and covers an area of about 2,600 km². Bush savannah, seasonal swamps and giant baobab trees make up the landscape of this nature reserve and the park is probably one of the best places in East Africa to see elephants. From the open roof of the safari vehicle you will be able to watch them and absorb the landscape. Apart from elephants, the park is also home to Masai giraffes, various gazelles, antelopes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, baboons and more than 500 types of birds. After an extensive game drive you will leave the park in the afternoon and drive to your accommodation in Karatu.

Day 3
Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast you will make your way into the Ngorongoro crater on a steep and narrow road. The slopes are forested but soon the landscape changes to savannah dotted with the occasional acacia tree. The wildlife here is absolutely breath-taking and if you are lucky you might spot the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. The crater is also home to warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas and many more. Some interest facts about crater, The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest volcanic caldera, formed during the massive explosion of the volcano once higher than Kilimanjaro some 2 to 3 million years ago. The crater has the total area of 304 km², 600 m deep and the diameter of 20 km. After a morning full of game viewing and a picnic lunch you will leave the crater in the afternoon and head to Serengeti national park for overnight.

Serengeti National Park - Full-day
Serengeti has really special sights, sound, and smell of Africa with stunning scenery, ever changing light and entertaining wildlife. In this park the animals don’t walk to any schedule so we may find lions, leopards, elephants, zebras, cheetahs, antelopes, gazelles, hippos and many species of birds and reptiles during our game drive. Here you might spend your day at the central park area or your guide will be knowing where to take you according to the season (migration of the animals).

Day 5
Serengeti National Park - Karatu
Serengeti National Park - Karatu
Half game drive in Serengeti National Park and before leaving the park we visit Serengeti visitor’s centre for more information about the park and be able to follow the trails of wildebeest and see some animals very close such as rock or tree hyrax, porcupine and lizards. After that we will be having the lunch and exit the Serengeti and drive to Karatu.

Relaxation at Lodge
Relaxation at Lodge
After a long drive through the rough and dust roads all the way from Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, together with the great adventure you have had from day one. This day will be a great day for you to relaxing and enjoying the swimming pool and waiting for the next day of adventure. But still there is an option, if you feel good then you can have a short walking at the evening with your guide around your lodge to Karatu town.

Day 7
Lake Manayara National Park - Arusha
Lake Manayara National Park - Arusha
This last day will be taking you to the paradise of the primates and aquatic birds. The lake manyara national park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats such as acacia woodlands and underground water forest. The park is very small but is able to support the large number of animal species and incredible bird life. It has the large concentration of baboons, giraffes, elephants, impalas and the lions here are known for their tree climbing. After a short game viewing at the lake manyara national park, you will be driving back to Arusha or Airport.
