Victoria Falls - 'scenes so lovely they must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight'

On arrival at Victoria Falls, you are met and transferred to your hotel. Later this afternoon, you are collected for a sunset dinner cruise on the mighty Zambezi River. You'll be welcomed on board with a refresher towel and a chilled flute of sparkling wine before they settle down on the top floor of the vessel for a sunset cruise before dinner. Snacks and drinks are served while the sun sinks below the shimmering surface of the Zambezi. After sunset dinner is served on the vessel. The rich aroma of locally sourced, fresh ingredients wafts around diners as the dishes are plated. Time seems to stand still as the boat gently glides along to the sound of water lapping up against her sides. Far removed from the glare of city lights and noise, the moon and stars shine brightly in the sky and an atmosphere of mystery and romance envelopes the evening’s experience. The meal and selected drinks on board are included. After the cruise, you are transferred back to Cresta Sprayview Hotel.

Day 5

Into the Reed-lined Waterways of Okavango Delta on a Mokoro Dugout

Into the Reed-lined Waterways of Okavango Delta on a Mokoro Dugout

After breakfast, you depart for a day in the waterways of the Okavango Delta. A mokoro is a traditional canoe or dugout boat used in the Okavango Delta propelled by a poler who has exceptional skills in handling the mokoro and can easily manoeuvre through the water. The absence of an engine creates a peaceful atmosphere, allowing you to immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of nature without disturbances. The shallow draft of the mokoro enables the poler to navigate through narrow channels and get close to the wildlife. You can quietly approach animals, such as elephants and hippos and birds without causing a disturbance. It offers a unique opportunity to observe wildlife from a different perspective and capture remarkable photographs. Glide calmly through the waterways while your guide stands at the rear propelling the Mokoro with a wooden pole through the water. A picnic lunch is enjoyed in the delta today.
*Please note water-levels may affect availability of Mokoro Safaris.
