Day 1

Arusha Airport to Ndutu Area

Arusha Airport to Ndutu Area

You will take a flight from Arusha Airport to Seronera Airstrip, followed by a 3-hour transfer to the Ndutu Plains, located on the outskirts of the Southern Serengeti. This area is home to over 2 million wildebeests, along with zebras, gazelles, and antelopes. From December to March, Ndutu serves as a calving ground, attracting predators. Water sources such as Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek provide crucial sustenance for wildlife throughout the year. Ndutu is also home to six big cat species, including lions and cheetahs. After an exciting day, your game drive will end with a transfer to your hotel for the night.

From January to mid-February, the earth hums with life as 4,000 wildebeests are born each day. Wander at your own pace through this breathtaking landscape, where the wild thrives in perfect harmony, and every moment reveals the raw beauty of nature’s dance.

After breakfast, your journey takes you to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll descend 2,000 feet into a world untouched by time. Born from a volcanic eruption and collapse over 3 million years ago, this vast caldera is now a sanctuary for wildlife—black rhinos, elephants, zebras, wildebeests, and lions roam freely amidst the serene lakes that glisten like jewels. Spend the morning drifting through this ancient land on a game drive, pausing for a peaceful lunch by one of the lakes. In the afternoon, you'll rise from the crater’s embrace, carrying with you the echoes of this timeless, wild beauty as you return to Arusha.
