We’ll set off bright and early for a thrilling game drive, where you can spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and more. There is nothing like watching the sunrise while seeing a lion or leopard return from a night of hunting, blood filled mouths and some pieces of their still in their mouths.
In the afternoon, we’ll hop on a boat for a relaxing 2½-hour cruise along the Nile River, watching for hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife. The boat will lead to the bottom of falls from where you’ll hike up to the top of Murchison Falls. You will meet your guide at the top and he'll drive back. Chimpanzee Trekking | Kibale National Park
Breakfast at the lodge, we then head out to Kibale Forest Headquarters where we need to be by 8:00 am for registration and pre-track briefing. Morning Chimpanzee tracking starts at 8:30 am and last up to 3½ hours in length.
The minimum age for the tracking is 15 years old.
This is a guided trek, and with 13 primates in the park, one usually finds at least 5 or six different types of primates. Then there is the forest itself with its beauty and ruggedness. Butterflies and exotic birds abound in this park, and the tracking experience takes in a lot more than Chimpanzee tracking. There is a beautiful and inspiring natural setting that is a haven for wildlife, birds, plants, and trees. The chimpanzees you will encounter are habituated, meaning that they are used to human beings.
Return to the lodge for a much deserved rest and relaxation.
