The highlight of your safari experience awaits! Begin your day with an early breakfast before making your way to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines. By 8:30 AM, you’ll embark on your journey into the lush forest, accompanied by your guide and expert trackers, in search of one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements, but the reward is beyond worth it—an unforgettable hour spent observing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.
After the trek, enjoy a delicious packed lunch, then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. As the day winds down, take in the breathtaking scenery on an evening sunset boat cruise across the lake, with stunning views of the surrounding islands and hills. It's the perfect way to reflect on the day's adventure and unwind in nature's tranquility.
