Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

Arrive in Amboseli National Park via flight or car, with Gemfinders ensuring smooth transfers. If driving from Nairobi, the journey takes about 4-5 hours, while a flight is quicker, taking about 45 minutes. Upon arrival, check into Little Amanya Camp or a similar lodge, offering personalized service and fantastic views of Mount Kilimanjaro. After settling in, enjoy a delicious lunch while soaking in the stunning scenery.

In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive, arranged by Gemfinders. This is the perfect time to spot wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, and various bird species. The dramatic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro offers excellent photo opportunities. After the drive, return to Little Amanya Camp or a similar lodge for a relaxing dinner and a chance to reflect on your first day in the park.

Wildlife Viewing

Start your second day early with a game drive, departing at 6:30 AM. This early start gives you the best chance to see wildlife at their most active. Amboseli is known for its large elephant herds, and you may also spot predators like lions, cheetahs, and jackals, along with a variety of birdlife. The soft morning light over the savanna provides excellent photo opportunities.

After the game drive, head to Observation Hill for panoramic views of the park, including the Amboseli swamps. If you're lucky, you’ll catch a clear view of Mount Kilimanjaro. After taking in the views, return to Little Amanya Camp or a similar lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, explore other parts of the park, such as the swamps, which are home to abundant wildlife and bird species, especially during the dry season. As the day winds down, return to the camp for a relaxed dinner and to share stories of your wildlife encounters.

Early morning Game drive - Masai Village - Nairobi Hoel/Airport

On your final day, start with an early morning game drive, arranged by Gemfinders. Depart around 6:00 AM to see wildlife at its most active. The early hours offer the best opportunity to spot predators and other animals before they retreat for the day.

After the game drive, return to Little Amanya Camp or a similar lodge for a hearty breakfast, savoring your last moments in the park. Then, head to a nearby Maasai village for a cultural experience. The Maasai will share their rich traditions, lifestyle, and how they coexist with the wildlife in the region.
Afterwards drive to Nairobi and drop off at the hotel or airport.
