After all the time you've spent planning and dreaming about
going on safari, this is where it finally starts. Your guide will
meet you and explain everything you need to know and
answer any questions you might have. And then we'll go out
on safari together.
Of all Kenya's Rift Valley lakes, high-altitude Lake Naivasha
offers the richest variety of experiences. There's lots to do
here, and you might even see zebras, giraffes or hippos. Its
human story is also fascinating: Lake Naivasha was popular
with colonial types as an escape from the city, and it plays a
similar role for locals now, especially on weekends.

You'll be visiting Lake Nakuru National Park, and it's a
brilliant park to visit. There are so many highlights to look
forward to. When it comes to wildlife, there are tree-climbing
lions, endangered Rothschild's giraffes, and flamingos in
varying numbers on the lake. This is also one of the best parks
in Kenya for seeing both black and white rhinos. It's a
beautiful park as well, with amazing views from the Out of
Africa Lookout (some scenes from the 1985 film of the same
name were filmed here), as well as waterfalls, acacia
woodlands and pretty lake panoramas.

Serengeti is Calling
Discover just why so many safari visitors fall in love with the
Serengeti. Keep an eye out for big cats, even bigger elephants,
and almost every kind of safari wildlife you can imagine. You
might also see giraffe, impala, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo,
hundreds of species of birds, and that may all just be before

whether you see a hunt, a vast herd or a mother protecting
her cub or calf. The Serengeti’s scenery is also unforgettable –
observe Africa’s iconic acacia trees, the park’s golden
grasslands and great piles of boulders known as kopjes. One of the joys of staying at Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp
is being in a part of the Serengeti that very few visitors get to
see, and yet you're close to the big wildlife populations for
which the park is famous. The tented rooms are luxurious and
filled with charm, and the views from some parts of the camp,

Ngoro Ngoro Escapades
You’ll learn why magical Ngorongoro is unlike anywhere else
in Africa. Cloud forests encircle the crater rim, and the view
out across the caldera of this former volcano – quite apart
from the altitude – will leave you gasping for air. Your drive
down a steep trail carries you onto the crater floor where a
unique wildlife offering is added to the sheer beauty of the
experience. You’ll share the sunken ecosystem of the crater
floor with hyenas, lions, elephants, black rhinos and hippos.
An ecosystem that has formed in the crater in the millennia
since the volcano wrought its terrible fury upon the land. It
could just be one of your best safari days ever. By staying at Elewana the Manor at Ngorongoro, you're
experiencing one of the best lodges anywhere in the
Ngorongoro area. It's in Karatu, in a quiet spot away from the
main road that connects Lake Manyara with Ngorongoro. The
rooms, decorated in a classic style, are luxurious and
beautifully appointed.

across the park’s famous and larger-than-life baobab trees
and elephants. These are the twin elements that give this park
so much personality. There is, of course, so much more. We
don’t just mean the huge populations of wildebeest, giraffes,
hippos, buffaloes, baboons, vervet monkeys and zebras. Or
the rugged landscape of rocky hills and rivers, swamps and
savannah plains. You also have an excellent chance of seeing
lions here – Tarangire is a real lion stronghold – and keep an
eye out for leopards and cheetahs as well. Stay at one of Arusha's premier hotels here at Arusha Coffee
