Day 1

Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

Depart for Samburu National Park early in the morning. This is a drive through some famous planatations of Kenyan products like the delamere pineapple farm, small scale coffee farmers, mangoes and several types of bananas among other farm produce. Samburu is a semi-arid region but rich in wildlife, to pay attention to the presence of unique Species such as Gravy’s Zebra, the long-Necked Gerenuk, among the wildlife that shares this semi-arid habitat. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Ashnil camp or equivalent.

Day 2

Full day in Samburu

Full day in Samburu

Your day will start with early breakfast at the camp. After that you start your drives around the reserve. Lunch will be served at the camp, followed by an afternoon drive. The guide together with you, you do your hour planning, allowing you all the flexibility you need to see what best suits your day exploring the reserve and its varied species of game. Meals and overnight at the tented camp or lodge.

Day 3

Samburu to Ol Pejeta

Samburu to Ol Pejeta

After breakfast, you will leave for Ol pejeta conservancy, in Laikipia region arriving on time for lunch. Ol pejeta is famous for both the white and black rhinos. It is here also that the endangered, almost extinct Nothern white rhino. Black rhinos are also endangered, but not near extinction like the Nothern white rhino, with two individuals remaining in the world, and found only here in Ol pejeta. Afternoon game drive will follow. In addition, Ol pejeta conservancy holds some of the highest predator densities in Kenya, that include Lions, cheetah and leopards. The game drives include a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters tented camp.

Ol Pejeta to Lake Naivasha

Optional early Morning Game drive followed by breakfast at Ol Pejeta. Later go on a scenic drive with stop overs at the Equator and at the Thompson Waterfall. Continue to Naivasha for a walk at crescent island game sanctuary. Strolling through the herds of antelopes, listening to the haunting call of the fish eagles or just watching the monkeys. There is something for everyone. Meals and overnight at Lake Naivasha sopa resort or equivalent.

Day 5

Drive from Naivasha to Masai Mara

Drive from Naivasha to Masai Mara

Driving across the Great rift Valley reaches Kenya's most famous Game Reserve, Masai Mara, in time for lunch. The drive is through the expanse corn and wheat plantations of Narok region to the town. The town has grown primarily because of agriculture and tourism. In addition, the region's community are herders, you will see huge herds of cows and sheep along the way to Masai Mara. After lunch, you will enjoy an afternoon drive looking for the wildlife that live in this reserve. Lunch, dinner and overnight at the exclusive Mtito Safari camp, famed for its super delicious cuisines and top-notch service.

Full day enjoying drives in the reserve

Full day enjoying drives in the reserve

This day you have several options to do your game drives. You can have breakfast and take picnic lunch with you or come back to camp for lunch. The best option is to carry picnic lunches and spend more time in the park. This allows you to venture deeper into the park and be under no rush to return to camp for lunch. The camp will provide you with the picnic meals, picnic chairs and tables. Masai Mara is home to the largest land migration on earth; the Great wildebeest Migration. But the rest of the wildlife stays put, patrolling the reserve in search for their meals. Return to camp in the late afternoon, and you can enjoy a dip at the cool pool or even a walk to the camp's vegetable garden. If you want, you can also choose vegetables of your choice for your dinner. Overnight and dinner.

Day 7

Masai Mara - Nairobi

Masai Mara - Nairobi

Breakfast at the camp, and there after start your journey back to Nairobi. You will get to Nairobi in the early afternoon. Should you have a late night international departure, you can have a lazy lunch and even add few other activities for example a visit to giraffe center in Nairobi. This trip can also be a part of a bigger trip or even extended to other areas and more days.
