Your adventure begins as you arrive at Entebbe International Airport, Uganda’s main gateway. Upon arrival, you will be met by your professional guide from Giant Holiday Safaris, who will provide an overview of your safari itinerary. The airport is located near Lake Victoria, offering picturesque views upon landing.
After your warm welcome, you will be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala, Uganda's capital city, where you will have time to rest and recover from your international journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the chance to explore Entebbe or relax at your accommodation. Entebbe is home to the Uganda Wildlife Education Center, which is worth visiting for those with extra time, offering a glimpse into Uganda’s rich wildlife conservation efforts.

After breakfast, you will start your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and one of the most iconic national parks. The drive from Entebbe to Murchison Falls takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, passing through the scenic Ugandan countryside. Along the way, you’ll witness vibrant rural life, fertile farmlands, and verdant landscapes dotted with small villages.
Murchison Falls is one of Uganda’s most famous parks, known for its breathtaking waterfall, the Murchison Falls, where the Nile River forces its way through a narrow gap in the rocks, creating a stunning spectacle. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge, where you can enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and prepare for the exciting safari activities that lie ahead.

Today is dedicated to exploring Murchison Falls National Park through exciting game drives. Murchison Falls is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including the “Big Five”—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros. Your early morning game drive offers the chance to see some of these majestic animals as they are most active during the cooler hours of the morning.
The park’s diverse habitats, which include savannah, woodlands, and riverine forests, support a wide variety of species. You’ll also encounter giraffes, various antelope species like oribi and Uganda kob, as well as numerous bird species such as the white-thighed hornbill and African fish eagle.
In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Murchison Falls themselves, taking a hike to the top of the falls to witness the mighty Nile River as it plunges into the gorge below. The view from the top is awe-inspiring, and the thundering roar of the falls adds to the dramatic atmosphere.

Upon arrival in Kibale National Park, you will check into your lodge and enjoy a relaxing evening. The park is famous for its tropical rainforest, home to a variety of primates, including the chimpanzees. Kibale is one of the most biodiverse parks in Uganda, and its forests are teeming with life, setting the stage for the thrilling chimpanzee trekking experience the following day.

The highlight of the day is chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park. Kibale is home to over 1,500 chimpanzees, and it offers an excellent opportunity to observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat. After an early breakfast, you will head to the park’s headquarters for a briefing before beginning your trek into the forest.
The trek to find the chimpanzee groups can take anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours, depending on where the chimps were last spotted. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you’ll spend an hour observing them as they forage, socialize, and play. Kibale’s chimpanzees are habituated to human presence, making the experience even more exciting and intimate.
In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a Bigodi Swamp Walk, a peaceful nature walk through the swamp, where you can spot more wildlife, including colobus monkeys, various bird species, and beautiful plant life. The swamp is also home to many butterfly species, making it a photographer’s paradise.

Queen Elizabeth is known for its abundant wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, and hippos. It is also famous for its unique tree-climbing lions found in the Ishasha sector, a must-see for many visitors. The park is also rich in birdlife, making it a haven for bird watchers.

Upon arrival at your lodge, you’ll check in and relax, preparing for the unforgettable gorilla trekking experience the next day.

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. You’ll then embark on a trek through the forest to locate a habituated gorilla group. The trek can take anywhere from one to six hours, depending on the location of the gorillas.
Once you encounter the gorillas, you will have an unforgettable hour to observe them in their natural habitat. Watching these gentle giants interact, feed, and play with their family members is a humbling experience. After the trek, you will return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to visit the Batwa people, the indigenous forest dwellers of Bwindi. The Batwa Trail Experience allows you to learn about the Batwa’s traditional way of life, including their hunting and gathering practices. The Batwa’s rich cultural heritage adds another layer of depth to your experience in Bwindi.

On the final day of your safari, you will drive back to Kampala or Entebbe. The journey takes around 8 to 9 hours, providing one last opportunity to enjoy Uganda’s rural beauty. Depending on your departure time, you may have a chance to stop at local villages or markets before reaching Entebbe International Airport for your journey back home.
