Game viewing in Ngorongoro Crater

Game viewing in Ngorongoro Crater

Welcome to the start of your safari and welcome to Tanzania! You've chosen a fantastic place for your safari journey. At 06:30AM we'll meet you at your hotel and get you started with an introductory briefing before we head out to begin the trip you've been dreaming of. About 3hrs drive will take us to Ngorongoro crater for an incredible game viewing.

You never forget the first time you see Ngorongoro Crater from above. Looking out from the rim of this extraordinary volcanic crater is like gazing down upon a lost world of wildlife and astonishing beauty. The drive down into the crater will be just as special, taking you down onto the crater floor where nature rules and no human being may pass the night. You'll spend the best part of a day exploring this remarkable place, seeing its lions, hyenas, black rhinos, elephants, flamingos and so much more.
And when it comes time to leave, you'll keep looking back over your shoulder trying to hold these experiences in your memory.

Day 2

Migration experience in Southern Serengeti and Ndutu region

Migration experience in Southern Serengeti and Ndutu region

After your early breakfast, we will drive to Ngutu and southern Serengeti.
Off the main route between Ngorongoro and the Serengeti, and in the far south of the latter, Ndutu is a smaller-scale, more intimate version of one of Tanzania's best wildlife regions. It's a fabulous destination year-round, and this is where millions of wildebeest give birth to their calves when the great migration passes through, often with plenty of predators nearby especially in Jan to the end of March.
It also has all of the essential elements of the Serengeti's appeal, including big horizons and incredible wildlife, but without the crowds you'd share it with elsewhere.
Late evening we will drive back to your campsite for hot dinner and overnight.

Main Destination:
Southern Serengeti National Park
Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)
High Season July to March (The Seronera area is crowded)

Cultural experience at Mto Mmbu then drive back to Arusha

After breakfast, we will pack and exit the conservation area onto Arusha town with a quick tour at Mto wa Mbu village.
You'll get a fascinating window on local Tanzanian life when you visit the northern town of Mto Wa Mbu. It's a busy, bustling place, and home to all 120 of Tanzania's ethnic groups, which gives the whole place an unusually multicultural feel. Lake Manyara National Park feels like a world away but lies just beyond the end of the main street.
After the great experience, we will drive to Arusha and drop off at your hotel.
