Day 1

Nairobi - Masai Mara

Nairobi - Masai Mara

Depart from Nairobi between 6 and 7am for Masai Mara. Early departure is recommended to avoid morning city jam and aim to arrive in Masai Mara by early afternoon. The journey takes about 6 hours, with one of two breaks for scenery viewing, coffee and bathroom breaks. The journey cuts through the Great Rift Valley with breathtaking views. On arrival at Masai Mara, check and unwind from the road trip. In the evening after tea, it is time for the first Game drive. Spot the graceful Giraffes, elegant Zebras and stout Wildebeest grazing harmoniously. Maybe yo will spot a pride of lions; hey might be a complete family including cubs, or just a lone lion prowling for a kill. Either way, lions are kings of this jungle and are unmissable. The open savannahs are ready to reveal their wildlife gems before dusk.

Day 2

Masai Mara

Masai Mara

Spend the full day at the epic Masai Mara, home to the big cats and the stage for the world famous Great Migration natural drama that takes place between July and August. It is the day to strike off from your must-see list the Big Five animals; Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhinoceros and Buffalo. The day starts at dawn with a coffee or tea, followed by a Game drive. Morning and evenings safaris offer the best chance of seeing lions, leopards and cheetahs on the prowl in search of prey. The park is brimming with wildlife and offers tourists a wide variety of wildlife and landscapes to keep them mesmerized at every turn. The morning tour lasts about 2 hours after which you will return to the lodge for a full breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning observing wildlife from the comfort of your verandah. The lodge is situated by a river bank where large animals including Elephants, Zebras, Wildebeest come to drink in full view of the lodge. The second game drive is in the early evening.

Day 3

Lake Nakuru

You will arrive at the Lake Nakuru National Park around lunch time. The park is located in the Great Rift Valley. It is a UNESCO world heritage site due to its unique wildlife and bird population. The first Rhino Sanctuary in Kenya was set up in this park in the 1960s. Among the wildlife are the very endangered black Rhinos and Rothschild Giraffes. Game safari is the best way to view the wildlife up close. Depending on the season, flamingoes flock the lake, making it to appear pink. The variety of birds (400) makes the park an attractive destination for bird lovers. After lunch and a bit of rest, you will take a game drive through the back and around the lake. The high density of wildlife will ensure that you have a wonderful game viewing experience with everlasting memories. The Game Drive will last about 2 hours. Return to the lodge for refreshments and dinner.

Day 4

Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park

Depart from Lake Nakuru National Park after an early breakfast for the drive to Amboseli National park (about 6-hour journey ), arriving at Amboseli Ol Tukai lodge just before lunch. After checking in, enjoy a sumptuous meal in the open-sided verandah/dining room with clear views of Mt Kilimanjaro (on a clear day) and wildlife, especially elephants lazily strolling and grazing just a few meters away. After the afternoon tea, take an evening game drive to view some of the wildlife for which Amboseli is famous. In an open 4x4 van and in the company of an experienced tour guide, you will crisscross the open park to view the wildlife at close range in their natural habitat. Most of the big safari animals are to be found in this park including Elephants, Lions, leopards and Buffalos. The drive lasts about 2 hours through the open savannah amid Acacia trees. Return to the lodge before dusk for a soiree by the campfire followed by dinner. Retire at your leisure to your room for the night.
