1-Day Kilimanjaro Expectations via Marangu Route

A day trip to Kili offers a glimpse of Kilimanjaro’s beauty without requiring a full trek to the summit.
This tour starts early morning (06:30) with a pick up from your hotel in Arusha to Marangu gate (2.5hrs drive) where you will have a quick stop for formal registration.
Your hike to Mandara Hut starts from here and takes about 3-4 hour through the enchanting rainforest, home to colobus monkeys, colourful birds & towering trees.

Upon reaching Mandara Hut (2,720 meters) you will enjoy the serene surroundings & explore the nearby Maundi Crater for panoramic views of the Kenyan plains & Kilimanjaro’s rugged terrain. Have your well packed lunches & take some relaxation before you begin to descend back to Marangu gate (about 2 hrs) where you will meet your driver & drive back to Arusha - drop off at your hotel around 19:30hrs (Subj to traffic jam)
