3-Day Kampala City Tour & Mabamba Shoebill Stork Search

Arrival

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where your guide will be waiting for you, holding a welcome sign with your names on it. He will then transfer you to your lodging in Kampala for the night. He will give you a briefing of how the next two days will go, but he can as well give you the briefing he next day if you're not up for it on arrival.

Check-in, dinner later and an overnight stay.

Kampala City Tour

You will start the morning with a very tasteful breakfast, after which your guide will pick you up for the city tour. You will head to the Nakasero market, where most Ugandans buy some fresh produce. This will be a very adventurous activity.

You will head to Rubaga Cathedral which is one of the first roman catholic churches in Uganda and is visible from all angles. You are at such liberty to attend a mass here, and this can be arranged by your guide.
You will head to Namirembe Cathedral after, which is an Anglican church that is also frequented. You will also visit the Bahai temple which is is only temple for the Bahai faith in Africa.
You will then head to the Gadhafi mosque for the Muslim faith in the country.
Lunch and you're out again to continue your tour.

You will head to the King's parliament in Mengo and if there is still some time, visit the Kasubi tombs, which is a spiritual and political site for the Baganda people.
Dinner later and an overnight stay.

Mabamba Shoebill Stork Search

Breakfast in the morning and head out for the tour. Mabamba Swamp is the best spot for the Shoebill stork and other water birds swamp specialist sightings in Uganda.
Mabamba swamp, a Ramsar site is located along Lake Victoria. A fishing boat with an expert birding guide will take you into the swamp along tapered channels in order to spot the Shoebill Stork. The Shoebill stork - Africa's most sought after bird can be spotted in the early mornings as he stands in the swamp, looking for lungfish and other prey, his beak plummeting down and devouring the fish. You often get close and get the most perfect pictures of its ''performance''.
The tour ends between 10:30-11:00am.

You will head back to the hotel for some rest and relaxation and lunch later as well as check-out.

You will then head to the botanical gardens for some sight seeing and animals viewing before heading the airport for your outbound flight back to your home country.
